Chiropractic for Seniors: It's Never too Late to Live Well!

Who is chiropractic safe, appropriate, and effective for?  From the viewpoint of a chiropractor on the ‘inside looking out’, my answer is: “Everyone!”  Even so, many who haven’t experienced chiropractic and would benefit greatly are often hesitant to try.

Living a long life is nice, living long and living WELL is even better! Chiropractic helps seniors do this!

Living a long life is nice, living long and living WELL at the same time is even better! Chiropractic helps seniors do this.

One such group of people who can benefit greatly are seniors, who often have questions like “will my scoliosis, osteoporosis, arthritis,  or spinal surgeries prevent me from receiving care?”, “Am I too old or is my spine too far gone to benefit from care?” “Will the adjustments be too rough or unsafe for someone my age?”

It depends somewhat on the individual and how their spine looks like after taking the appropriate imaging, but for the vast majority of seniors, chiropractic is an excellent health choice.  At Progressive Chiropractic, and at nearly all chiropractic clinics, adjusting techniques are altered for the individual- less force is used, or at our clinic for example, drop table or instrument adjustment is used.  While with increased age results may come slower and the healing process may sometimes take longer, chiropractic for seniors is still a great option to:

– Support spine and nerve system health

– Maintain independence

– Maintain flexibility, mobility, balance, and coordination

– Prevent falls and injuries

– Manage pain and chronic conditions

– Enjoy life more fully!

Age certainly AFFECTS your health, but it doesn't necessarily DETERMINE it- your lifestyle and choices do. Chiropractic is a good choice for most seniors.

Living a long life is something worth striving for, but living a long, healthy life is ideal.  In other words, a long life isn’t much of a life if one isn’t also living well.

Chiropractic is, and always has been interested in helping people live well by helping the spine and nerve system function freely and without interference from spinal misalignment.  This means that except in extreme circumstances, most people, regardless of age can benefit from periodic chiropractic care.

Do you know someone who could benefit?  It’s not too late to start!
